Report on the Defense of Presentations in Project-Based Learning

As part of project-based learning, the Department of "General Practice Doctor - 2" organized the defense of presentations on the topic "Healthy University, Healthy City, Healthy Region." The author of the project is Doctor of Medical Sciences Dosybaeva G.N. The main goal of the event was to develop students' research skills, critical thinking, and practical application of knowledge in the field of healthy lifestyle (HLS).
The presenters introduced projects dedicated to various aspects of a healthy lifestyle, with participation from the following groups: I-ЖТДҚ 01, 04, 09, 10, 11, 20-23. These groups prepared and defended presentations on the following relevant topics:
1. Smoking and its impact on health.
2. Refusal of energy drinks – the foundation of longevity.
3. The incidence of cardiovascular diseases in the clinics of Shymkent.
4. Mental health and stress resistance of teachers in rural schools.
The defense of the presentations took place in the form of presentations accompanied by illustrations, statistical data, and real-life examples. The participants demonstrated a deep understanding of the topic, mastery of research methods, and public speaking skills.
After each presentation, a discussion was held where questions were asked, opinions were expressed, and recommendations for improving the presented material were provided.
The event demonstrated a high level of preparation from the participants. The most successful projects were those that included practical recommendations and interactive elements (surveys, tests, questionnaires).
Based on the results of the defense, the following conclusions can be made: Students' interest in a healthy lifestyle has increased. It was revealed that HLS requires a comprehensive approach, including proper nutrition, physical activity, and psychological well-being. The discussion of projects contributed to the exchange of knowledge and the expansion of participants' horizons.
The final word was given to the head of the Department of "General Practice Doctor - 2," Dr. Sc. D. Dosybaeva G.N., who mentioned that the defense of presentations in project-based learning on the topic of HLS was successful, allowing students not only to study health issues more deeply but also to acquire important skills in public speaking, information analysis, and the argumentation of their views.
