Collaboration Without Borders: Joint Educational Programs Discussed at the Academy

In April 2025, the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy hosted a delegation from Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) as part of efforts to strengthen inter-university cooperation. During the visit, discussions focused on implementing a joint educational program between BSMU and SKMA aimed at improving the quality of training for specialists in medicine and pharmacy.

An important part of the program was the guests' participation in the International Scientific and Methodological Conference titled «Modern Educational Technologies in Medicine and Pharmacy: Challenges and Prospects».
At the plenary session, Dr. Alevtina Melnikova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Head of the Educational and Methodological Department at Bashkir State Medical University, delivered a presentation on «Joint Educational Programs: Practice and Development Prospects». In her speech, she addressed the organization and implementation of joint educational programs, as well as their development prospects under current conditions.

Also, within the framework of the conference, Dr. Viktoria Sergeevna Kazakova, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Associate Professor, Head of the Department for Educational Programs in Cooperation with CIS Universities at Saint Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical University, delivered an online presentation on the topic «Modern Technologies for Training National Specialists for Foreign Countries». She emphasized the importance of international educational initiatives and the role of modern technologies in preparing professionals for work abroad.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held with Maria Anartayeva, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, and Galiya Umurzakhova, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy. During the discussions, participants addressed the strengthening of inter-university cooperation, the integration of modern educational technologies, the expansion of academic mobility programs, and the specifics of joint educational projects.

The highlight of the visit was the signing of an agreement on the implementation of a joint educational program between the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy and Bashkir State Medical University. The document was signed by SKMA Rector Zhanna Seitzhanova and official representatives of BSMU, marking a new stage in the development of the partnership between the two educational institutions.

Such events serve as an important platform for the development of academic cooperation, the exchange of best practices, and the strengthening of positions on the international educational stage. The South Kazakhstan Medical Academy extends its gratitude to its colleagues for their fruitful collaboration and is confident that the agreements reached will form a solid foundation for successful long-term cooperation.
