ACADEMIC MOBILITY PROGRAM REPORT

From February 13 to 27, 2025, as part of the academic mobility program, a representative of the International Kazakh-Turkish University conducted lectures and practical sessions at the Department of "Social Medical Insurance and Public Health" of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA). The main goal of the program was to educate students on the fundamentals of scientific research and to enhance their interest in scientific activities.
During the mobility program, lectures and practical sessions were held with the following groups:
1) ВМ-MAa-13-23 (English group, Medicine)
2) ВМ-MҚAБ-05-23, ВМ-MҚAБ-06-23 (Medicine)
3) ВМ-MҚБ-06-23 (medicine)
4) ВМ-MШАБ-07-23, ВМ-MШАБ-08-23 (Medicine, international students)
5) ВМ-MШБ-08-23 (Medicine, international students)
The following topics were covered during the training:
1) Public health, morbidity, and research methods
2) Contemporary medical-social issues, public health enhancement
3) Disability and its types
4) Organization and conduct of medical-social expertise
5) Socially significant diseases and combating them
6) Organization of medical assistance to the population
7) Medical assistance and its types
8) Medical-ethical aspects and medical confidentiality
In total, 72 academic hours of sessions were conducted within the academic mobility program.
Scientific meetings with students were organized to enhance their interest in scientific research, writing scientific articles, applying research methods, and discussing scientific ethics. Students actively participated, asking questions and receiving consultations on their research projects.
The academic mobility program was successful: students actively engaged in discussions on important medical-social issues and showed interest in developing research skills. As a result of the program, prospects for further collaboration with the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy in the fields of scientific research and education are being considered.
