“The State Language is the Eternal Language of the Eternal Country”

On March 31, 2025, the Kazakh Language and Literature Week was officially launched at the College of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (JSC). Organized by the dedicated teachers of the Kazakh Language and Literature Department—Zh.S. Sarymsakova, A.A. Isabekova, and A.E. Kenzhebek—the event is themed “The State Language is the Eternal Language of the Eternal Country.”
Day 1: Opening Ceremony – “My Language is My Pillar” The week-long celebration aims to foster a deep appreciation for the Kazakh language, instill national pride in students, and encourage the younger generation to study the works of literary figures who have laid the foundation for the nation’s linguistic and cultural heritage. The event also seeks to elevate the status of the Kazakh language and inspire students to respect their mother tongue and homeland.
The opening ceremony featured a speech by the Head of the General Education Department, Sataev Amangeldi Toyboluly, who emphasized the importance of respecting the state language, preserving national customs and traditions, and applying acquired knowledge in practice. Adding to the event’s significance, Kuanyshbekova Yerkezhan Azimkhanovna, a librarian from the Library Information Center, presented a book exhibition under the theme “Language is a Precious Treasure.” She introduced students to the works of renowned Kazakh poets and writers, highlighting their contributions to the enrichment and preservation of the Kazakh language.
Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to engage in various activities, including literary discussions, poetry readings, and creative competitions, all aimed at deepening their connection to their linguistic and cultural heritage.
By celebrating the richness of the Kazakh language, this initiative plays a crucial role in strengthening national identity and ensuring that the language continues to thrive for future generations.
