Seminar "Qara Shañyraq – the Golden Pillar of the Kazakh Nation"

On March 17, 2025, as part of the concept of the festive ten-day event "Nauryznama," the Department of Kazakh, Russian, and Latin Languages organized a seminar on the topic "Qara Shañyraq – the Golden Pillar of the Kazakh Nation", dedicated to Shañyraq Day, which aims to promote national family values and the education of a virtuous generation.
Associate Professor of the department, PhD in Philology G.K. Temirbekova, and Senior Lecturer D.Zh. Kemelkhan delivered reports, emphasizing that in Kazakh culture, shańyraq holds a special place. It symbolizes not only the dome of the sky but also home, support, well-being, security, and the continuity of generations. Since foreign students attended the seminar, Senior Lecturer A.E. Temirova provided translation into English.

Leading specialist of the Youth Policy Department J. Kambarova highlighted that shańyraq represents family, which is why the Kazakh people have always attached great importance to newlyweds building their own home. She cited Kazakh proverbs as evidence: "A father is a mighty mountain, a mother is a spring at its base, a child is the reed by the shore" and "A house without a father is without blessings, a house without a mother is without shelter." She also introduced the participants to the schedule of the "Nauryznama" festive ten-day event and congratulated everyone on the upcoming Great Day of Nauryz.

The purpose of the seminar was to properly shape the upbringing of the younger generation, instilling patriotism, humanity, a thirst for knowledge, and diligence in them.
