Methodological seminar on development of examination questions at the Department of Social Health Insurance and Public Health

On 7 February 2025 a methodological seminar was held at the Department under the guidance of Associate Professor Sarsenbaeva G.Zh. and Senior Lecturer Magay L.N., aimed at improving the competence of teaching staff in the development and examination of multiple-choice test questions (MCQs). The workshop leaders had previously attended the 27-hour basic course "Methodology of Multiple Choice Test Questions Development" organised by the National Centre for Independent Examinations (NCIE) from 27 to 29 January 2025 and received relevant certificates.
At the seminar the participants learnt the six stages of creating test questions, the requirements for their formulation and structure, as well as the characteristics of testing the level of memorisation, comprehension and application of knowledge. Types of test items, their advantages and use in interim and final certification, including requirements for OSPE and OSCE, were considered. In the practical part the teachers successfully mastered the formulation of K-type, B-type, F-type and G-type questions.
