«Labeling of medicines» is a relevant topic for the pharmaceutical industry of Kazakhstan

On February 5, 2025, a lecture on «Labeling of medicines» was held in the assembly hall of «South Kazakhstan Medical Academy» JSC for 5th and 4th year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as the graduating class of the Medical College at the Academy. The event organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy with the participation of the association of legal entities Association of Pharmaceutical and Medical Organizations of the South Kazakhstan Region «Damu» and IT specialists of BS IT Group LLP.
During the lecture, the director of the Association of Medical and Pharmaceutical Organizations of the South Kazakhstan Region «Damu» Kh. Alzhanova reported that from July 1, 2024, mandatory labeling of all medicines introduced in Kazakhstan. Khadisha Derbisovna noted that this requirement is regulated by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 21, 2023. It was also emphasized that pharmacies will need the appropriate technical equipment, including cash registers to work with the drug labeling and tracking system.
BS IT Group IT specialists demonstrated the labeling process in practice. The lecture ended with a question and answer session, during which participants received explanations on the most relevant aspects of implementing the labeling system in pharmaceutical activities.
