From Words to Action…

As part of the agreement on academic and scientific cooperation and exchange between the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU) in Minsk and South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA), a visit by lecturer Vadim Eduardovich Sushinsky, PhD in Medicine, Associate Professor of Therapy at BSMU, Chief Specialist in General Practice at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, and Chairman of the Belarusian Society of Gerontologists and Geriatricians, has commenced at the Department of General Medical Practice-2 under the academic mobility program. This visit was initiated with the active support of the Head of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gulzhan Nurbekovna Dosybaeva.
As part of the visiting program, a meeting was held with Askhan Markhabaevich Baiduvaliev, Head of the Healthcare Department of the Turkestan Region. During the meeting, cooperation in the field of general medical practice was discussed, including collaboration and training in general practice. The trip to Turkestan concluded with a cultural visit to the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Museum and an introduction to the city’s landmarks.
The visiting program includes training for interns, residents, master’s and doctoral students, as well as practicing physicians, on current topics in general medical practice and geriatrics.
