ACADEMIC MOBILITY AS A TOOL FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
The Department of Drug Technology and Pharmacognosy has completed the academic mobility program with Kudashkina Natalya, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy, with courses in Botany and Basics of Phytotherapy at Bashkir State Medical University (Ufa, Russia).
As part of her visit, Professor Kudashkina Natalya conducted classes in the subjects "Pharmacognosy-2" and "Chemistry of Natural Medicinal Compounds" for third-year students, as well as "Botany" for first-year students enrolled in the educational programs "Pharmacy" and "Pharmaceutical Production Technology."
The academic mobility program included the delivery of practical and laboratory sessions, the organization of students’ independent work under the instructor's guidance, the administration of interim assessments, participation in students’ interim project-based learning (PBL) reports, and participation in the annual International Scientific and Methodological Conference held at the academy.
During the classes, Professor Natalya Kudashkina shared her valuable experience and knowledge, emphasizing the practical aspects of pharmacognostic analysis, the study of the chemical composition of medicinal plant materials, and topics in botany. The students highlighted the high scientific value of the sessions, the instructor’s interactive teaching approach, and her strong engagement in the educational process.
A special highlight was the International Scientific and Methodological Conference titled "Modern Educational Technologies in Medicine and Pharmacy: Challenges and Prospects," in which Natalya Vladimirovna took an active part.
As part of her visit, Professor Natalya Kudashkina also familiarized herself with the academy’s infrastructure. She visited the new, modern library, which is equipped with electronic resources, multimedia halls, and comfortable spaces for students’ independent work.
She showed particular interest in the Research Center for Pharmacy operating within the academy. Professor Kudashkina was introduced to the center’s scientific facilities, equipment for pharmacognostic and chemical-analytical research, as well as its current areas of scientific activity. Visiting these facilities allowed her to highly appreciate the academy’s scientific and educational potential and the opportunities for future joint research projects.
In addition to her intensive academic program, Professor Natalya Kudashkina also visited the historic city of Turkestan, where she became acquainted with the cultural and spiritual heritage of the region, allowing her to gain a deeper appreciation of the host country's atmosphere.
